Youth Talk United is designed to educate, engage, and empower adolescent girls, ages 12 and older and boys 10 and older. Through leadership, community service, and life skills.
How We Do It:
Youth Talk girls monthly sessions are held in the form of general group meetings/ discussion, field trips (college tours, Youth Day Out, etc.), community service projects, and/or special events (annual banquet, sleepovers)
The topics include, but are not limited to: Bullying, Rumors & Teasing; Popularity, Cliques & Fitting In; Healthy Relationships; Self-esteem & Body Image; The Importance of Education; Goal-Setting & Decision-Making; and Teen Depression
Where and When:
General monthly meetings are typically held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:00pm-8:00pm and every 4th Saturday from 1:00pm-3:00pm at IMPACT Family Counseling – Southside.
